Edition 18

It is not far off till we leave on our winter dive trip to Cozumel.  We will be there from Jan. 12 th through the 19 th which is Sat. to Sat.  Cost for the trip including flight, lodging and diving is $1395.00 per diver. This price is based on current flight prices.   If you want to get your own flight the rest of the trip will be $935.00 per diver.  This year's trip is priced about $100.00 less than in the last couple of years.  This same trip in the high season which starts Feb. 1 st will run about run close to $1700.00 per diver.  Trip does not include tips, beverages, national park fees, and airport transfers.   For those of you that have not been on this trip with us before Cozumel is written up as one of the best dive destinations in the world and Scuba Club where we stay, is one of the highest rated dive resorts in the world.  A typical day starts out with a great breakfast and then their spacious dive boats pick us up at their pier to leave about 8:30 for a two tank dive on Cozumel's famous reefs and returning at about 12:00 for lunch and then you have the afternoon to shore dive, go downtown, or just lay back by the pool and read a book or take a nap.  Dinner is always a great meal to look forward to and then everyone just kicks back doing a night dive or heading to the mall or going downtown to enjoy activities that go on in the town square.  They have dive lockers with rinse tanks close to the pier so you do not have to take your wet gear back to the room.  The last day of the trip as you do not dive 24 hours before your flight departs is usually spent enjoying by renting a car and touring the island and shopping for you or those back home.  I highly recommend this trip and if you have any questions at all give me a call soon so we can get you in on the good rates.  We have had some couples that have been to this site with Tri-State Diving five times.  You must have a passport to leave and get back into the country.

Christmas is not far off so be thinking of that diver friend when it comes to buying them a gift.  We can help you pick out something that would be appropriate for their diving needs.  We have a few rental wetsuits, BCs and Regulator combos for sale and we have some consignment items sale.  There are still a few new 80 Cu. ft. steel tanks are a reduced price while they last.  If we do not have what you are looking for in stock we can also order in items that will fit into your price range.  Scuba classes also make a great gift and we do have gift certificates for that hard to shop for individual.

Water temps. are still in the high 50 degrees and visibility is still great so fall can be some of the best diving.  This summer was some of the best weather we have had for diving.  The big medallion has yet to be found and there are 13 clues posted.  It has been a great summer seeing all the new students getting certified and we have enjoyed seeing our regulars plus all the new faces that have come into the dive center.  There are still a number of dive cards to be picked up from this year and still a few from last year.  Remember our winter hours are by appointment.

Sea you on the bottom.
