I think winter is upon us.  My lake is about 90% frozen over and we are supposed to get snow this weekend.  I guess we can not complain as we have had a very warm fall.  We still plan on getting some diving in so I will post any dives coming up.  We have a few lakes in the area that freeze up about two weeks after all the others are covered with ice so this helps us extend our open water diving season.

We are almost full for the Cozumel trip in Jan. but if you are still interested I can see if there are rooms and flights available.  Let me know if you are interested.

In 2012 I am looking at taking a group to Fiji for about 12 days of sight seeing and diving.  I will have more information within the next couple of months and because of the time and distance we will need to book the trip further out than our Caribbean trips.  I had a rep for the properties visit the shop and by the information he presented it looks like it will be one of the best trips that we will put together.  We will be staying on one of the Atolls and will travel to the island by boat.  It looks like a very modern resort and it is right on the ocean.  The diving there is very laid back so it will be fine for all levels of divers.

We have some used rental Ocean Reef Mask with communication selling at reduced prices so if you are interested in getting into full face mask diving let us know and we can look at options for getting you into one.  Our prices include training on the system.  If you would like to try diving with one before purchasing, we can make arrangements to let you dive the system.

Spear guns have been selling well as we have more divers getting into underwater spear fishing.  They make great Christmas gifts.  We are getting a SeaBear carbine in for a diver so if you would like to see it let me know as we will have here for awhile before it is picked up.

We are still waiting for divers to send tidbits and pictures on your diving experiences so we can share your diving excursions with others.   It is always neat to hear what other divers are doing.

Now it time to look through your gear to make sure everything is in working order before storing it for the winter.  Check straps, o rings, dive suits, BCs and all other equipment for wear and tear.  If you do not want to repair it now at least write down what needs to be done so that when you make your next diving excursion you will not forget what needs to be done.
