December 31, 2013

It is the last day of 2013 and I would like to thank all of you that stopped in at the dive center this past year and I am hoping I will see you here at the dive center in the years to come.  We certified a lot of new divers and had divers taking advanced classes to make themselves a better diver this past season.  2014 we will be adding some additional towns that we will be teaching at so people will not have to travel so far to take a scuba course.
On December 14 Tri-State Diving made the recovery on the pickup that went down in Rock Lake.  It was a cold day with a high of 2 degrees above zero.  Those on the job were Ryan S, Ryan T, Ricky R, and Seal.  The job went well considering the weather.  We were concerned that the dog was no longer in the pickup and we would have to do a search for it.  Ryan found it inside the cab and we removed it after we got the vehicle up on the ice.
I will be updating the website this month and adding the new classes for 2014.  We will be at the dome this year, after not being there for a couple of years, for the Red River Sportsman show in March.  We will be on the main floor this year with the pool so if you want to come in and help let me know and if you know of someone that wants to try scuba let them know about the show.
I am planning an ice dive for sometime this spring so let me know if you have an interest in taking the class or if ice dive certified you are welcome to come out and make a dive.  I will keep you posted as we get closer to setting up a date. Last year the visibility was 50 feet plus and hoping this year will be the same or better.
We added a line of underwater metal detectors this last summer and sold 4 of them.  They are reasonable priced and they can also be used on land so you can get full use out of them looking for hidden treasures. We have added one to the rental equipment so if you would like to try one, we will have it available for rent.
We have one rental regulator setup left to sell and will not be selling out any rental regulator setups for about a year
