Edition 13

Last nights tailgate dive went very well.  We used the boat as the public access on Long Lake is not the best to dive from.  Seal took two groups of divers out.  Hoover and Doxie led the one group each.   Diving with Hoover were Greg Ose, Thief River Falls; Mike LeMoine, Mlps; Perry Mertz, Fergus Falls; Ryan Sandvig, Fargo - those diving with Doxie were Wendy Olsgard, West Fargo; Jim Sewick, Pelican Rapids; Jean Thelen, Park Rapids; Kevin Engebretson, Lake Park . Vis was not the best but a
few artifacts were found.  See picture below of the group during the cookout.

Vis in the lakes has dropped due to a bloom and the amount of rain we have had.  Reports are coming in with Bad Medicine at 15 to 25 feet, Lake Seven at 8 to 10 feet, Big Detroit at 8 feet and Pickerel at 6 to 8 feet.  Hopefully the lakes will clear up soon.

We still need more divers to run a Rescue Diver course so if you are at all
interested please drop us an email or give us a call for more details.  There were 7 students that took the Advanced diver classroom and we plan on running another one this summer if we get enough interest. We are also going to run another open water class within the next two weeks so if you know of anyone interested have them give us a call.
