Edition 14

August 02, 2002

Here it is the first of Aug. and we had a high of 72 degrees air temp yesterday.  The water temp was warmer than the air.   The best vis we have found in the area to date is Turtle lake on the western edge of Becker Co. south of Lake Park. Vis is in the 18 to 20 foot range. Lake Seven has improved some but still below its normal. It picks up well below the thermocline.

We will be having the tailgate dive on Thursday night instead of Tuesday night this coming week.  We will dive Turtle lake.  We will leave the dive shop at 5:30 and meet at the public access at 6:00.  We have some divers from the twin cities that can go if we go that night.   If you are coming from the Moorhead area it would be a
lot shorter distance to meet us at the lake.  If you need directions give us a call.

We have enough to run the Rescue Diver course next Friday and have room for more so give us a call if you want to take the course.   The Friday after that we will have an Advanced Diver classroom and still have openings for that class.  We are hoping to run an openwater class within the next two weeks so if you know of anyone interested please tell them about it.

We still have some demo drysuits for sale so stop in and dive one to see if it is the way to dive for you.  It really helps to extend the dive season.

We have tank totes at 30% off next week and swimming suits at 15% discount.

We still have openings for the Cozumel trip the last week of January and are putting the final touches on the trip to the southern Bahamas in the middle of February.  This is a liveaboard trip and is some of the best shark diving in the world.

Our mystery trip is being set for the first part of March so call for more details.

13 clues have been given to date and no one has found the medallion to collect the dive computer.

Sea you on the bottom!
