Last nights tailgate dive was a big success with 17 divers diving and enjoying
the cookout. Those attending were, Gary, Sandy and Kayla Geske and Cal
Anderson from Enderlin ND: Nick and Jean Theilen, and Karen Issacson from Park
Rapids: Brent Rensink, Lake Park: Kris and Ben Condon, and Jon Crump Metro area:
Wendy Olsgard, West Fargo: Merle and Sue Hanson, Dilworth: Jim Granger, Becky
and Lyle Kjonaas, Detroit Lakes. The dive was made on Turtle Lake south of Lake
Park. Merle found an ice chisel. Thank you to Jim Granger for hosting the
tailgate dive.
On Tuesday Seal, Chris Lee, Jim Granger, Tracy Granger and Merle Hanson brought
the car off the bottom of Big Cormorant Lake that had been there since February.
Two other divers that went along to observe were Jon and Ursula Nanson from
Battle Lake MN. There were high winds but the Deep Diver handled them well and
it took about four hours to bring it to the surface, tow it to the public access
and get it out of the water. It was a 1987 Honda Civic. The first
two pictures below show the car being towed to the access and the second two
show the car on the trailer.
Next Friday night will be our next Advanced classroom. Some of the
divers have been doing their advanced diver skills from the last advanced class.
We still have some closeout items and used steel tanks for sale.
